Rankin has variously worked as an essayist, creative consultant, film editor, voice actor,
propagandist and, during his serious and well-groomed teenage years, as an animator
at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He is the multi-tasking director of nine indie
short films, two medium-length audio-visual histories of Winnipeg pop culture, one web
series and countless film experiments.
